Awards and Recognition

The Dakota Junior Golf Association (DJGA) is excited to announce the “DJGA Golfer of the Year Award” for both High School Senior Boys and Girls. The award, also known as Mr Golf and Ms Golf in many states, will rival other High School Sports Awards in North Dakota that are given to the top senior regardless of Class A or B. The Annual Award will be given this Spring to both the top Male and Female High School Golfer. Beginning next fall the girls award will be given at the end of the fall season and boys at the end of the spring seasons. The Golfer of the Year award will be voted on by a committee from across the state. More Details about the award will become available this spring online at DJGA.org . The DJGA was founded in 1988, presently the association provides over 20 summer events for golfers, as well as lessons to over 1000 junior players each year. Currently the DJGA is working on aggressive plans for statewide expansion of its Junior Tour, in an effort to provide all players in the upper midwest quality events and competitions.

Criteria:

  • Awarded to Top Male and Female Senior Golfer
  • Must be nominated by a High School Coach
  • Playing Career Resume both High School and all amateur events.
  • Personal resume, include other school activities, community service and other accomplishments.
  • In order to be considered for this award player may not have committed any school violations that resulted in suspension from any school activity while in grades 9-12.
